Child Development Monitoring

Psychological support is not only sought when a problem or difficulty arises. Child development monitoring is a preventive approach that aims to regularly observe and support a child’s development, even in the absence of any specific concerns.

What Is Child Development Monitoring?

It is a structured follow-up process in which a child’s cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral development is evaluated at regular intervals by a psychologist. This process allows for the early identification of potential difficulties, the anticipation of developmental risks, and timely intervention when needed.

Scope

Developmental Tracking and Monitoring

Age-appropriate developmental milestones are regularly assessed. Progress in areas such as language development, attention, self-regulation, and social skills is monitored over time.

Periodic Psychological Assessment

At specific developmental stages, standardized psychological assessments are conducted to outline the child’s overall psychological profile. These evaluations are planned to track healthy development and to identify possible deviations at an early stage.

Preschool and School Readiness Assessment

During transitions to preschool and primary school, the child’s academic, social, and emotional readiness is evaluated. This process supports the child’s strengths and helps guide preparation in areas that may require further support.

Parental Guidance

Throughout the process, parents are informed about their child’s development. Age-appropriate expectations, supportive parenting approaches, and practical strategies for the home environment are shared.
