Zeynep Sezgin

Graduated from Özyeğin University, Department of Psychology, with high honors.

 

During her undergraduate education, completed her internships at French Lape Hospital, Florence Nightingale Hospital and the Institute of Behavioral Sciences. Completed Istanbul Bilgi University's Clinical Psychology Master's Program, Child-Adolescent sub-branch, as the third in the institute. Continued her long-term psychotherapy studies with children, adolescents and their families and group studies with parents at the psychological counseling center of the same university. Also took part as a psychotherapist in research examining therapy processes at Bilgi University Psychotherapy Research Laboratory.

She continued the "Emotional Masks" event of the Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer as a volunteer at the Oncology department of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. She made home observations of mother and child and took part in the coding process in the project "Strengthening the Attachment Relationship Between Mother and Child with the Safe Circle Parenting Training Program" carried out by Özyeğin University Relationship Research Laboratory.

As an assistant psychologist within the scope of PSI Development, Training and Research Center, she provided education-oriented home services to groups of children. In 2018, she worked as a psychologist in a private kindergarten.

She completed the 1st Module of the formation training at the Istanbul Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association and the Projective Evaluation of Children's Drawings training of the Rorschach and Projective Lessons Association. APT approved Basic and Advanced Child Centered Play Therapy by Sue Bratton, Dr. She received training on the Use of Art Therapy and Brief Cognitive Interventions in Adult and Child Trauma from Olcay Güner, and Social Emotional Development in Children Flexible Resilience Roadmap Model from Maggie Kline. She has completed the Mentalization-Based Child Therapy (MBT-C) training provided by Emma Morris and Dr. Sibel Halfon at the Anna Freud Centre. Received the WISC-4 certificate from the Turkish Psychologists Association.

She works with children, adolescents, and families experiencing emotional, relational, and behavioral difficulties, using a psychodynamic, child-centered, and mentalization-based psychotherapy approach.
