Adolescent Psychotherapy
Puberty is a period when many critical issues such as identity development, individuation, and gender roles begin to emerge.
During this time, adolescents may need psychotherapy support to cope with difficulties in peer relationships, conflicts with family members, and the emotions and thoughts that arise in response to the changes they are experiencing.
In therapy with adolescents, interviews are held with parents in order to understand family dynamics and gain information about early childhood, but due to the needs of separation from family and individuality specific to adolescence, family interviews are held less frequently compared to the interviews held in child therapy, depending on the age of the adolescent.
